I have been using this CIS for nearly 2 months now and very happy with it. Installation is straight forward if you carefully follow the manual. One of the damper did not sit in correctly so I had to re-sit it and everything is fine. I was worrying about ink clog but so far so good. I do the nozzle check every time I print - sometime the printer is off for more than 1 week - but I have never needed to clean the head... so far.
It is true that the gloss is not as good as Epson but it is OK for me because I print mostly matte. Colors and black are also comparable to those of Epson.
And Leo even sent me an update manual and two little things to help the printer cover not to touch the ink tubes.
